A homeless pup
There once was an abandoned pup roaming the street I lived on. This fella would have
been around six months old at the time. Whenever I passed him, I would feel
sorry and offer him some food (if I had any).
Kindness of people
A few months passed, and now he has been taken in by the
kind monks at the Buddhist Temple opposite the top of my lane. He now has a nice red belt around his neck and looks happy and content.
An act of gratitude to remember
One morning when I was standing by the main road (Opposite
the Temple) for my office transport to arrive, I saw this dog. He crossed the
road (using the pedestrian crossing very carefully) and walked towards me. Then
he kept his paw on my shoe and looked up at me as if to say, “Hi there, how are
you? I remember you! I am doing good as you can see” I patted his head for a
brief few seconds. Then off he went back to the temple proudly and happily.
Not all people will remember your kind deeds, but one thing
is for sure - a dog will always remember!
